In this Unit students carry out an independent research project on a topic agreed with the Course Director. The project should aim to contribute useful knowledge for the improvement of professional ecological practice. The timetable for this Unit is not prescribed but students are advised to start thinking about their project as soon as possible after the course starts. The end product will be a dissertation, a copy of which will be retained by the University Library.
