This unit brings together the topics of electrical noise and the theory and practice of analogue filter design. Sources of electrical noise are discussed, and techniques for modelling noise sources and calculating their effects in circuits and systems are introduced. Analogue filters are classified according to type and technology, and the design processes are illustrated for the more popular forms of active and passive realisations.
