Description including Unit Aims

A foundation in French literary study for post-A-level students of French, preparing them for the more advanced study of literature at levels 2 and 3. It introduces students to French literary texts representative of a range of periods and genres, to the techniques of literary analysis and to the study skills required to organise and express work in this field.

Assessment Information

Assessment will be by one 1000 word commentary and one 1500 word essay and a two hour written examination.
