The Holistic Gas Turbine design training course covers all aspects of gas turbine design theory at a consistent level of detail, in 100 pictures each supported by half a page of concise notes. There is balanced attention to performance, aerodynamics and mechanics. About 1/3 of the course time is spent by delegates working on their own simple gas turbine turbofan engine design, using hand calculations only. By the end of this course, delegates will have: Acquired a good rounded knowledge of all aspects of gas turbine theory and design at a consistent level of detail; They will have designed aspects of a complete turbofan engine, covering performance aerodynamics and mechanics; They will be much more confident in their future gas turbine engineering work; They will be better able to work with other engineers in understanding how to optimise features of a gas turbine engine.
