Teaching is provided by the School of Social and Community Medicine and comprises a mixture of lectures and weekly tutorials whick all students are required to attend. Homework is provided each week, and your tutor will assess each student's learning as demonstrated through homework discussion and tutorial participation.
The Clinical Epidemiology element has a written assignment (Data Interpretation Exercise) at the end of the course which contributes around 30% of the total Clinical Epidemiology mark. Failure to submit a piece of work for the in course assessment will result in 0%, unless there are valid reasons for omission. This may result in a student failing to pass that element as even if they pass the written exam paper, they may not get a total mark of greater than 50%.
