Description: This unit is the hands-on partner to the numerical analysis component of EMAT20200 Engineering Mathematics 2. It is both an introduction to the industry-standard computer package Matlab, and also to the practical implementation of numerical methods, and their application to real-world problems.
Aims: The aim of this unit is to give students practical experience of implementing numerical methods using Matlab.
At the end of this unit students will be able to:
Lectures and supervised computer laboratories
100% coursework. 1 summative computer-based assignment (with several zero-weighted formative computer-based assignments)
