The academic session is spent at a German university, undertaking a range of law units units not taken at the University of Bristol, according to a jointly approved programme.
By the end of this unit a successful student will be able to:

Assessment will depend on the host institution and the units of study selected and may include some coursework as well as written or oral examinations at the host institution. Students will have the option to write a reflective essay of 3,000 words, which will contribute 10 ECTS and will be marked by the University of Bristol.
The overall mark for this unit will be derived from the translation of the marks achieved during the year abroad via algorithms agreed by the University of Bristol.
The 'Year Abroad Mark' counts as 10% towards the final degree classification.
The assessments will assess all of the intended learning outcomes for this unit.
